Description
DEFA has focused on easy installation and optimal heating functionality during the development of engine preheaters. For different engine and vehicle combinations, DEFA has nine primary heater elements with more than 500 variants and over 5000 individual applications.
The flange in 400 series heaters (except 420 – 423) consists of a metal pipe. This pipe can surround all of, or parts of, the active element. The heater is placed in a specified location in one of the engine’s water hoses, end on end with a metal component, such as on the water pump. In this way, the entire active part of the element is surrounded by metal.
