Engine Heater SafeStart 800 series
Safe and efficient contact heaters for engine blocks and oil pans.
Description
Contact heaters are divided into two groups:
– Heaters for engine blocks
– Heaters for oil pans
Contact heaters consist of an element cast in aluminum, which is adapted to fit the installation point. Contact heaters for oil pans heat the oil instead of the coolant. The rise in engine block temperature produced by a contact heater for oil pans is therefore not comparable with an engine heater which heats the coolant. A heat-conducting paste is applied to the contact surfaces to improve transference of heat from the heater to the engine block or oil pan.
Use
Normal usage – DEFA engine heaters are designed for “normal usage.” DEFA defines “normal usage” as; 3 connections for 3 hours pr. Twenty-four hours for 150 days (5 months) a year.

NOTE! Pulse power – Some parking facilities use interval (pulse) power timers that turning the power On and Off several times per hour. Using a DEFA engine heater in combination with these timers is NOT considered “Normal use” and claims will be declined.
