Main cabinet, variant 2
This system can be installed without tools or assistance from a certified installer.
Description
Main cabinet with fuses, including earth-leakage circuit-breaker, in addition to DEFA plugs for inlet and outlet. The cabinet is dimensioned for 230VAC, 16A fuse circuit. It contains a “zink saver” which reduces galvanic corrosion of metals in the boat.
The cabinet has three outlets. Two of these have a switch (i.e., for turning off a water heater).
Technical description
The el-central has 1 or 2 DEFA PlugIn male inlet contacts and 3 PlugIn female outlets. The inlet is connected through a 16A earth-leakage circuit-breaker switch. One of the outlets has a constant voltage, and two outlets are connected via a switch.
All the connectors are placed on one side. The earth wire contact is connected to a “cathode protected diode bridge,” reducing corrosion when connected to shore power.
DEFA AS conforms to the requirements of both ISO 9001- 2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. In addition, our engine heaters and cables conform to the requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2002.
Mounting
Installation
The el-central is resistant to moisture but should be placed in a dry position as a precaution. The connectors should point downwards.
Equipment damage and possible injury may result from improper installation and use. If you are unfamiliar with electrical systems: consult DEFA, a dealer or a licensed electrician.
Read the installation and user guide carefully.
Maintenance
Check the earth-leakage circuit-breaker function during and following the season (marine/boat).
